3 Fun Easter and Spring Activities to do with the Kids
Easter and Spring activities, crafts, baking and treats are so fun for the kids. From making coloured eggs, spring scavenger hunts, painting wooden eggs, making rice crispy treats, popcorn balls, cookies and decorating them in fun and pretty pastel colours. There is so much you can do with kids that involved the whole family in celebrating the easter bunny's arrival and the beautiful weather that is on its way for Spring time.
Here are just a few activities to do with kids this Spring and Easter season.
Making Coloured Eggs
With just a few drops of food colouring and white vinegar in a bowl of warm water you can dye boiled or hollowed out egg shells all kinds of fun colours. As a fun bonus, add some glitter or decorate with gold and silver sharpies.
Painting Wooden Egg Decor
I had my father who is an amazing wood-smith, cut out some wooden eggs to decorate with the kids. You can purchase some, as well, via amazon. With some paint, markers, and glitter you can create beautifully painted wooden easter eggs that will last for years and make great keepsakes of times with your kids.
Rice Crispy and Popcorn Ball Eggs Treats
I love rice crispy treats so I try and make a different version of them for every season. For Easter, I add food colouring in fun pastels and place them into an egg shaped mold for a festive spin on a great classic treat. You can also swap out the rice crispies for popcorn and get the same effect.
